Viva los fun hogs is a tribute to the legendary journey documented in "Mountain of Storms" from 1968. The on-the-road adventure that took a group of adventure enthusiasts from Ventura, California, to Patagonia to climb Mount Fitz Roy. During the descent, they rode immense waves, skied down active volcanoes, and encountered all sorts of mishaps.

At the end of the film, at the summit of Mount Fitz Roy, they unfurled a custom orange flag. It read: "Viva los fun hogs"
